Brenke EBS Mark 8

A heavy and robust epibenthos sled for catching small macrofauna for industry, monitoring and science, for all coastal waters, deep sea, and on all marine substrates.

The Brenke EBS has been used since 2000 in hundreds of missions in all oceans and depths to sample the sediment-water boundary and recover organisms. It has been successfully deployed in the Arctic and Antarctic, on volcanic rocks around Iceland, the manganese nodule fields in the Pacific, in deep sea trenches at depths of over 9500 meters, on sand, clay, stone, and rocks.

Based on this experience, the Brenke EBS was completely redesigned in 2024. The Mark 8 is the best EBS to date. All innovations of 25 years were implemented in the new Brenke EBS Mark 8.

The standard version of the Brenke EBS Mark 8 can be customized to your individual specifications with all necessary mounts for cameras, lights, sensors or other additional devices. If desired or necessary, the dimensions of the sled can also be adapted to your basic requirements (lower, shorter, wider, etc.).
